Find updated manga sites on www.read-manga-online.com.
Readmanga.com
Readmanga.com is not a huge online manga site, but it does have a ton of Full Metal Alchemist and it a very easy to use manga view that works in your Web browser (no downloading).
Other manga here includes:
Cool Manga Character Dolls, Action Figures, Jewelry and more
ToyWiz.com has an extensive collection of action figures, dolls, collectible cards, jewelry, and other great items for some your favorite manga books and characters. I have had several people email me about manga dolls, so I just put this one out there because I like ToyWiz and I like the people who run it (real cool). They have a better selection than I’ve seen anywhere (found a nice Naruto Necklace with the Leaf Village logo for my honey)
and there’s no doubt you’ll find what you’re looking for at their store.
Lililicious.com
If you are into yuri manga, Lililicious is a quality site. English versions of stories like Maka-Maka, Indigo Blue, and Yuri Shimai are ready for download. The books are in JPG format. Most computers automatically have a program installed that will read JPG files.
Download the issue you want to your computer, it is one big zip file. Then double-click the zip file to see the JPG files for each page of the issue. For convenient viewing, use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (See the entry for Viewing PNG Files to set it up. Anywhere you see PNG, substitute JPG instead.)
You can’t find as much yuri in the US. This is a great site.
Viewing Downloaded Manga – PNG
Some manga you can view in a browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Other
manga you download to your computer view. Once you download it, you open those
files to read the manga.
Almost all manga that you download in a file format called PNG. In other words,
you will have files on your computer names with an extension (the 3 letters
after the dot) of .png.
How do you open these files? First, just double click on them. Your computer’
settings may already be set up for opening the proper program for viewing png
files. If not, if running Windows, try Windows Picture and Fax Viewers.
To do this, double click My Computer on your desktop. From the menu, click
Tools, File Options. Click File Types. Scroll down the list of file extensions
and click one time on PNG. Click the Change button. Double click on Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer. Click close.

Now you if you double click the PNG file, your downloaded manga will open in a
viewer that reads it.
Other than this program, there are many other free PNG viewers as well. One is AHA View Lite. Another to try is Vallen JPegger 4.01. Search download.com for a start for more.

Narutocentral.com
Waiting to see more about Pain? At Naruto Central.com, you can check out the latest issues of Naruto manga. A paid subscription get you fast, immediate, unlimited downloads, but you can download for free also. You’ll put up with a lot more ads (but you need money to keep the site up, right?) and you are limited to a few downloads a day, but still (there seem to be a few less ads if you register–free–on the site).
To view manga, you have to download it to your computer and view it in a PNG viewr or any application that views png files. But if you are a fan, you will appreciate the large number of manga this site has.

Naruto Manga Chapter 349
This is what scanlation looks like on video like YouTube. Personally, I take the file downloads.
Viz to offer manga online?
Viz, the US distributor for manga like Death Note, Strawberry 100%, and Vagabond, appears to be looking at distributing manga online. They currently have a poll on their Web site asking people what they think about different types of manga. So does this mean that the more interest we show in reading manga online, the more likely we’ll see more manga online (at least via Viz? Ha ha, that’s funny via Viz / viz a vi. Anyway….) Or does it mean we’ll have to pay for more issues as fewer scanlators offer series as the licensed publisher offers them? (I know at least one Dolls fan who might not take this the right way.)
Mangavolume.com
Mangavolume.com lists tons of free manga for your viewing pleasure. It is not the slickest Web site in the world, but it’s got what you came for-tons of free manga (didn’t I just say that?).
The home page lists all the newest stuff. Click on the Manga Directory to see the list of series or there is a little blue search bar that’s kind of hard to see right about the list of series. Use that to find exactly what you want. When you click on a series, then click on an issue in that series, the manga opens up right in your browser–no downloading.
Two thumbs up: this is a very straightforward site with lots of manga (an echo in here you say?) that is easy to get to and read online. For more about reading manga online, check out www.read-manga-online.com.
